Above: Unretouched original photo of Our Lady of Fátima, holding a Carmel scapular with an illuminated Cross above Her head, visible during Mass the Sunday after the Feast of the Ascension in 2018, at Saint Clare Catholic Church, in Roseville, CA. That Sunday (13 May 2018), not coincidentally, was the 101st anniversary of Our Lady of the Rosary's first appearance at Fátima, Portugal. The light poured through a clear window above the altar. Hundreds of parishioners witnessed the clearly-defined Cross. The Pastor, Father George Snyder, Jr., reports he attempted to recreate the same conditions in the following days, but was unable to do so.
A beautiful booklet on Saint Clare Catholic Church, in Roseville, California (a Jubilee Year 2025 destination), prepared by senior parishioner Renato Candido Dante Nicolài, whose name means born again – white, clean, pure – steadfast, enduring, hard, even stubborn. And fiercely Italian.
Saint Clare Catholic Church is the sanctuary of many first- and second-class relics of most of the most important souls in Catholic history.

The Church, sometimes referred to as the Basilica of the Annunciation, is located in Nazareth, in northern Israel, on the site of the Annunciation – in which angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary and announced that she would give birth to Jesus.
